Costco Is Hosting Sensory-Friendly Shopping Hours For People With Autism
A Costco in Illinois announced that they're hosting sensory-friendly shopping event for people on the autism spectrum, according to the website Central Illinois Proud. This type of program has become popular with other well-known mega-stores, such as Target and Toys R Us.
The wholesale super-center is typically a nightmare of sensory stimulants, with the crowded aisles, free sample smells and flashing displays. These sort of distractions can make people on the autism spectrum feel overwhelmed, frustrated and scared. The store says they will take down all the visual displays, and turn the lights down so there's minimal bright lights.

"It's really helpful for stores to reduce the odors, reduce the sounds, reduce the distractions that make it really hard for children as well as adults," Jim Runyon, a spokesperson for an autism advocacy group called Easter Seals, told Central Illinois Proud.
The quiet hours will start at 8am and go until 9:30am at this particular location, and we hope this becomes a regular thing at other Costco locations. We reached out to Costco to see if there are other locations and will update the story when we hear. Several other stores have hosted similar, helpful programs, and it's a small change that can make life so much easier for parents of children on the autism spectrum. If you'd like to see about getting a similar program at a store in your community, just ask!

Tips on How to Choose the Best Website Hosting
Are you looking for the best website hosting for your website? Web hosts are not all the same and the requirements of each website owner or developer are also different. Before you choose a particular hosting plan, it's important to be aware of all of your options and carefully consider each of the following factors.
Research the Hosting CompanyIf the hosting company you are dealing with is professional and reliable, its products and services will probably be of a high quality and will be reliable too. It's vital to research each hosting provider and find out what their reputation is like, how good their support is and how well they communicate with their customers.
Find Out More About the Hosting Package
Next, you need to find out more about the hosting packages a hosting company offers and which of these packages is the most suitable for your requirements. Typical features you should look out for include FTP access, the amount of web space you get, the number of email addresses you can create, bandwidth limits and whether or not the hosting is on a shared or dedicated server.
Ask Other Website Owners What Hosting They UseCarrying out a web hosting comparisons is another extremely important exercise. You can do this by asking other website owners what hosting they use for their websites. You can also visit a wide range of comparison websites that compare the different packages available. This will increase your options and allow you to make a much more informed decision about the future of your website.
SpeedToday's online users are impatient and won't wait around very long for a website to load. The quality of the hosting service for a website is often the main cause of a poor performing website, so you need to avoid this situation at all costs. If your website is slow, it reflects badly on your business and you will lose website visitors and more importantly you could lose customers and sales if you sell products and services on your website.
PriceMost hosting packages are affordable, but you normally get what you pay for, so don't be fooled by the cheapest offers available. In some cases, you are charged for the basic package but you may have to pay hidden fees for additional features that come as standard with other hosting plans. Make sure you know exactly what you're paying for when you sign up for hosting so that you don't get any nasty surprises later on.
Expanding Your Online EmpireEvery website owner starts off with a single website. However, over time you may need additional websites that are dedicated to specific products and services or other areas of your business. Instead of creating a new hosting account elsewhere, you want to be sure you can use your current hosting to host new websites. You also need to find out if there are any additional charges for this feature.

Are You Making The Same Mistakes While Choosing Web Hosting?
You are excited about your startup and have already taken the first vital step of planning a website for it. You must be looking for the best web host for it. Seems very easy, doesn't it? You must be motivated by so many startups and businesses that put up a website almost every other day and board the bandwagon of online business. But, have you ever thought of the mistakes they make while choosing a web hosting? It is going to be a commercial website, and you can't take the risk of committing even a single mistake. Hosting a web is not a piece of cake. It requires money, immense effort, a good amount of search & research, and proficient knowledge of the nuances of your niche industry's online presentation. So, it's better to learn from the mistakes of others than repenting afterward.
Being a responsible owner of your startup, you should be aware of the dos and don'ts and remain careful before taking any decision. Agreed? Then, you are at the right place where we will learn some of the common mistakes people commit while choosing web hosting.
Searching for 'Top'We know that internet is your best friend and it provides solutions to almost all of your queries. However, there are several websites that display fake data and reviews. Obviously, any 'top list' presented on such websites are created by their own just to attract potential leads. Don't fall prey for such websites by searching – 'top web hosts,' 'top web hosting companies in India,' etc. Instead, browse some reliable forums and web hosting review sites to get the accurate data and factors you should consider before choosing web hosting service provider.
Going for 'FREE'image: magicofdoing.com
Seriously, does anything come free in this world? Then, why should your web hosting come for free? The FREE word is a trap where you lose out more money for a really good web hosting package. Free or cheap plans may seem tempting, but if you are really looking for a decent web hosting service, you should be ready to pay the real cost for it. If you are going for a free web hosting, you may come across the following problems in future:
Always mind that UNLIMITED here doesn't mean 'without limit' from your dictionary. 'Unlimited storage and bandwidth' is the most common, lucrative advertisement which is posted by even popular web hosting companies. Like every new entrepreneur, you would believe that there is no limit to what you can store and how many visitors your website gets. Disappointingly, it is not the case. You will receive this lucky condition subject to the 'normal circumstances' decided by your web hosting service. In case, your website starts to receive a considerable amount of traffic; you might have to pay extra money.
Overlooking the Terms of ServicesIgnoring Terms of services and mailing policy of the hosting provider is a common mistake that may make you land in a big trouble in future. ToS limits the resources of a website. Additionally, mailing policy refers to different limits of emails you can send per hour . Don't forget to check the refund policy ignoring their advertisements of '30 days refund.'
Ignoring the SEO implications of web hostingHave you ever thought that slow site speed, shared hosting, and database connection errors may damage your site's integrity (not just to human users but also to Google bots)? It means sheer wastage of your SEO efforts. Exceeded bandwidth limit, internal server error, and prolonged runtime errors may lead your site to be dumped by Google. In such case, it doesn't matter how efficient and hard-working your SEO team is. Without a trustworthy host, you cannot succeed in marketing your products.
Support portal and its utilityIf you are ignorant about the support portal and its meaning, ask your host about it. Every reliable web host keeps up a support portal for its users so that they can submit tickets and get real-time update on its status. This facility is provided to the users so that they can review and respond to the tickets till the issue is fixed.
Signing up for a longer periodIf you don't have any previous experience with a web hosting company, do not sign up with them for more than a year. In most of the cases, refund becomes tricky, and if you have paid in advance for a long-term service, you may lose your money. Start with a monthly plan and only after experiencing the service of the web hosting company, switch to an annual plan.
Web hosting is crucial for your online business. The smallest of mistakes might lead to major revenue losses. Every year, several entrepreneurs and small businesses become victims of a bad hosting service. If you do not want to be a victim, be careful about your choice. If you have even fallen prey to bad hosting services, share your experiences in the comments below; you might show a few untold disadvantages to the world.
