Hosting provider Fasthosts' services down for five days
Customers of hosting firm Fasthosts have seen a number of cloud services knocked over after system problems started last Thursday.
In a system status update on its website, Fasthosts said that it was working to bring "a small number" of services back online.
Related articlesThe update said: "Our engineers are working to bring a number of cloud servers back online after they were found to be offline. All cloud services on the affected physical host are being checked.
"At this time we don't anticipate any further disruption and normal service has been restored to all but a very small number of affected customers.
"We are in contact with anyone still affected by this issue and will work closely and personally with them to resolve any outstanding issues."
Angry Fasthosts customers took to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the web host's official Twitter account, with some engaging back-and-forth tweets.
One web developer tweeted the firm six times last week claiming he first had the issue on Tuesday 5 July, before experiencing it again through Thursday and Friday, after which Fasthosts switched the conversation to private messages.
Others were still tweeting the firm this afternoon as the anger seemed to intensify.
"Considering the pitiful amount they were paying for 'engineers' @fasthosts I'm utter unamazed they've had a 4 day outage, again," said one user.
Another user seemed far from impressed that the issue had rumbled on for so long. "3 days to fix a server that they broke! What kind of service is that?" they said.
