Best Cheap Web Hosting

Please help. I'm afraid I've made a mistake. In the past I was able to edit the css of the my web template directly, but I just had a client purchase hosting through WordPress & I am unable to edit/design their site the way I need to.

I need to be able to edit the css directly, not just cut & paste random css (which I am finding very tedious & changes do not get saved - or revert on a whim).

Please help! Where can I access the css directly?
