GreatResponder.com  The acquisition of platform as a service PaaS business run by Rackspace was being anticipated to be sold to some private company during the last whole week long. This Monday, the Liquid Web announced the acquisition of the cloud hosting business of Rackspace. This announcement was made public through an official press release issued by the Liquid Web Inc.

The press release did not reveal any kind of financial terms and conditions of this deal, but it did reiterate that the company is going to invest a substantial amount of funds in improving and enhancing the web hosting services to provide better plans and offerings in the near future.

This acquisition would enable the Liquid Web to have a comprehensive group of customers including, designers, engineers, developers and digital agencies that have high traffic websites in use.

The Cloud Site Business Unit of Rackspace will remain located in the San Antonio with the team intact working to migrate the high volume of customers to the company's platform smoothly and safely. With this acquisition, the number of employees of the company would grow to 550 members, while the number of customers will increase to over 30,000 across the globe.
