How to install Bolt CMS on subdomain? [Outside of the Web root]

Hi Helphians, now we are going to install Bolt CMS on Outside of the web root. Thant means install that CMS on Subdomain for your website. This page explains the other ways of installing Bolt.  Here we are using the FTP Client to install it. There are different methods to install Bolt, but we recommend this simple way. Use this guide described below to get Bolt application file and set them up on your web hosting server.

Bolt CMS introduction:

Bolt is simple, free and responsive content management tool that's written in PHP. Bolt is based on silex symphony components uses Twig. It has several features that could be very useful for Users, Frontend developers, and Backend developers. You can also choose a theme for your website from theme gallery. Bolt CMS is fully open source, Mobile responsive with easy file and image upload management.

The difficult level of this guide is Medium. You can make changes with some coding and web server knowledge. Please do it very carefully when you make this changes. Let's jump in this step by step guide.

  • Go to the Bolt.cm page and download your copy.

  • Now open the download folder. Extract the Bolt zip file.

  • Open Filezilla FTP application. Log in your FTP account. On the right side, choose your subdomain directory. Finally Select all the files in the left side. Right click on a mouse and select upload to your server.
