Brookhaven approves $45K for website redo, development and hosting
Brookhaven, GA, July 2, 2017 – by Trey Benton – The City of Brookhaven has awarded a $45,000 contract to Municode/AHA Consulting to redo the City's website, other development and hosting. Municode/AHA Consulting was among 17 vendors who responded to a Request for Proposal to provide these services after the City determined the current website doesn't reflect Brookhaven's brand and navigation is not intuitive.
Launched in December of 2013, the City's current website was originally designed by Vision Internet, who has also designed sites for the cities of Atlanta, Decatur, Smyrna and others. That initial design cost the City roughly $21,000. Since the original design, the City has continued a maintenance and hosting contract with Vision for approximately $6,500 per year, subject to annual renewal. Each year a 5% increase is placed on the service to cover any technology upgrades, etc.
