Ellen DeGeneres is NOT hosting her new game show because she wants to distract from rumors she's getting a divorce from Portia de Rossi, despite a bogus webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We're told it's "false."
It was recently announced DeGeneres has signed on for the hour-long, primetime game show, "Ellen's Game of Games," which will be based on segments from her daytime talk show. But Celeb Dirty Laundry is now arbitrarily claiming DeGeneres is only hosting the game show to "repair her reputation" and "bury the divorce reports" about her and de Rossi.
The website goes on to allege DeGeneres has a "two-faced personality," which is why she's now trying to "prove to the entertainment industry that she has what it takes to become a huge primetime star." Without a single source to back up its claim, the outlet adds, "It wouldn't be surprising if Ellen even tried to move her way up to the late night talk show circuit as well."
Despite how ridiculous the report seems, Gossip Cop still checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the webloid's story is entirely "false." The baseless theory that DeGeneres is only hosting a game show to distract from her personal life is both preposterous and untrue. Additionally, her marriage to de Rossi is going strong.
Of course, we're not surprised by the site's inaccurate report. Gossip Cop recently busted Celeb Dirty Laundry for falsely claiming DeGeneres was trying to "salvage" her marriage to de Rossi. There was no truth to that story, and the same goes for this latest one.
